May 1st always seems to creep up on me. I always say "This year I'm going to make a may pole!" and I always run out of time :P Someday, I tell you.
Well, April has just flown by!It has certainly been a productive month. Lots of stuff happened and I got lots of stuff done. I think all of it will be better described through pictures!
Here's what happened this month:
First little purple flower in my myrtle patch. |
A little friend was outside my window :) I love squirrels. They look so huggable, but sadly not :P |
It snowed. In April. I have to admit it did look pretty awesome on all the tree branches. God is an amazing artist that is for sure. He has a good sense of humor too :D |
My brother recently became a deacon and this is what I wore to the ordination :) I'm so proud of him! I can't believe how fast the years have flown by. He should still be in college! Haha ;) |
My nails for the day! I bought nail stickers for the first time. I loved them! I took step-by-step pictures of how to put them on but I'll save those for another post. |
And this is what I wore for the party the next day. Gotta love mirror pictures :) |
Here is my main spring display. |
My friend made me the 'alice in wonderland' tea cup with the clock and the flower for my bridal shower! Isn't it adorable? :) |
The lighting was just perfect in this pic! |
April was a nice month. I like months where lots of things happen and I'm constantly doing something. After such a long winter I don't mind being busy so much anymore. I was so burnt out after all that cabin fever :)
It's hard to believe that Robert and I will be celebrating our 1st anniversary in just a couple of days! Where does the time go?
We'll be taking a weekend trip to celebrate the day :) I don't think we've done anything except maybe a couple of day trips since our honeymoon and some relaxation is much needed! It'll be nice just to forget about work for awhile :P
I hope everyone is having a great week!
Cheers!
P.S. Keep an eye out for lilacs! They should be making an appearance soon around here. BEST FLOWERS EVER!
I love Teddy Bears. *nods*
ReplyDeleteOur squirrels look different than your squirrels. Ours are gray too, but they just... *look* different. *eyes them suspiciously.*
The outfit you wore to the ordination was cooooooot. (yep. I spelled it like that on purpose.) Also, I notice you have Edward Blair Leighton work in the back. We have that exact picture, only huger, in the livingroom.
I've never played Settlers of Catan... but the cupcakes look delish.
Happy Soon Anniversary!! :D
I loooooooooooooooooooooove lilacs.
They are fox squirrels. They have a little reddish tint to them, I think. Are those what yours are called too? We had a black squirrel visit my parent's yard once. They aren't native in our area, so that was kinda odd!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I noticed you guys have the same picture! I love it. I love his art and also John William Waterhouse's. They're both geniuses.
I've played it several times, thanks to my brother. He's a gamer! It's a fun game. Homeschoolers seem to enjoy it a lot. Like, Crack the Case ;)
Thank you! I'll be posting some of our wedding pics in a few days or so :) I know I promised you Ireland pictures in March, but I forgot :P Soon, though! There are just so many and I can decide on which ones to post!
Me too :) I specifically planned to get married the first week of May mainly because of the lilacs. . .good plan, yes?
Ours are just gray squirrels but apparently we have flying squirrels too, they're just nocturnal so I never see them. O.o
DeleteHave you ever heard of kinuko y craft? She's amazzzzing.
Hmm, maybe I'll have to see if I can find it at some point. I've heard about it a couple times now. XD
ooh, I'm excited for those. I like pictures. :)
Yes, good plan. That's around the same time I'd like to get married too... Either that, or June. lol. :)
FLYING SQUIRRELS?! I want one!!!! I always liked how Bob Ross had one for a pet :D
DeleteNo I haven't...Is she an artist? I'll have to look her up!
May is my favorite month so that is why I chose it, but I kinda wish I would've chosen a warmer month because whenever we go somewhere around here for our anniversary it's still chilly :P
I wish the cold never bothered me anyway ;)
Ohhh, yum. Cupcakes are like my great weakness. CAKE. And icing. YUMMMMY. Also: snow! I've never seen snow (or a squirrel) so that's all sorts of awesome as well. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by @ Notebook Sisters!
HI CAIT!
DeleteThanks for checking out my blog, as well :)
Cupcakes are pure loveliness! Cake in general is wonderful. Especially with sprinkles. MUST HAVE SPRINKLES!
Snow is okay. I only really like it the week of Christmas :D Or when I have Narnia on the brain... It's pretty, but one gets tired of shoveling REAL fast :P
I can't believe you've never seen a squirrel before! They are great little creatures. I've even fed one by hand...but that was in my Mom and Dad's backyard where they are used to us. We kind of love squirrels in my family :D
